Meet Kirsten

Musical Background

Kirsten Leon is a graduate of California State University Fullerton with a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance ('23). She emerged from the vibrant arts scene of the Las Vegas Metropolitan area, where her passion for music and performance first took root at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. Renowned for her resplendent and versatile voice, Kirsten possesses a captivating tone that traverses genres with ease, from jazz and musical theater to opera and pop.

Throughout her undergraduate journey, she showcased her vocal prowess in a myriad of lead roles. Her portrayal of Rose Murrant in Cal State Fullerton’s rendition of Street Scene was lauded as both gut-wrenching and stirring. As a former member of the critically acclaimed University Singers under the direction of Robert Istad, Kirsten further honed her craft, while studying under the guidance of renowned vocal instructor Patricia Prunty. She is currently singing in the Grammy-award winning group, Pacific Chorale. Kirsten is also currently the conducting intern for the Orange County Women's Chorus, under the direction of Eliza Rubenstein.

Her talents have led to remarkable opportunities, including performances as Marcellina in fully staged productions of Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro in North Carolina and Italy under the tutelage of the International Lyric Academy. Not confined to operatic roles, Kirsten has showcased her versatility as a soloist, lending her voice to Tarik O’Regan's world premiere work, No One Can Hear Themselves Staying, and serving as the soprano soloist in Beethoven’s monumental Choral Fantasy.  Beyond her musical pursuits, she finds joy in her role as a Guest Talent Coordinator for Disney Imagination Campus. She also cherishes moments with her beloved dog, Sushi, when she's not immersed in practice or traversing the globe in pursuit of her musical passions.
